2-day Seminar Obsolescence Management

Course Overview

This 2-day seminar is designed to provide the delegates thorough knowledge of obsolescence management. It helps participants to get first insights in the topic of obsolescence management or support advanced in this field to gather more detailed knowledge and to improve it.

The obsolescence management seminar explores the origins of obsolescence and shows the positive impacts of comprehensive – reactive, proactive and strategic – obsolescence management.

In small working groups and workshops, questions are addressed and solutions developed, such as:

  • How to minimize the impact of future obsolescence?
  • What is the risk of ignoring obsolescence?
  • How can you tackle obsolescence in practice?

Furthermore, the seminar will cover obsolescence contract aspects, legislations, international and German standards as well as software tools that are available for comprehensive obsolescence management. We will investigate the main factors of obsolescence and will prepare methods to minimize the resulting costs of obsolescence.
